Information on the The Craven Heifer

'The Heifer' as it is locally known is ideally nestled at the foot of the Yorkshire Dales overlooking the Wharfe Valley up to the famous Ilkley Moor. Sitting at the top of the village of Addingham on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales betwixt the Market town of Skipton, the Spa town of Ilkley and the famous Bolton Abbey Estate. The Craven Heifer has been painstakingly refurbished combining the character and charm of an 18th Century Dalesway Inn whith stone and oak floors, open fires, leather blanquettes with stylish reclaimed chairs and tables, local artwork and the odd bit of tartan here and there as a nod to the owners Scottish roots. The Bedrooms at The Heifer have been stripped back to the bare bones and completely refurbished, increasing in numbers to seven individually designed en-suite rooms fashioned around 'famous Yorkshire folk'. Examples of these are - The Big Splash suite modelled on artist David Hockney - The Crows Nest Suite, modelled on Captain James Cook. All of the rooms feature en-suite bathrooms, hand made soaps, Egyptian cotton, Plasma TV's, writing desk, Hypnos mattresses, locally crafted furniture, free wi-fi, monsoon showers etc. In addition, four of our seven rooms have free standing baths in the bedroom. Breakfast consists of a selection of cereals and yoghurts. Fresh pastries. Toast with preserves. A large choice of cooked breakfasts. After breakfast you can enjoy the numerous activities on offer in and around Addingham from the canal boats of Skipton and its weekly market to Bolton Abbey, Leeds or Harrogate, all but a stones throw from The Craven Heifer. The restaurant is open Monday through til Sunday and serves a variety of menu's to tantilise everyone's tastebuds.
